Privacy notice

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This site is a single page: my CV, shown as an interactive Power BI report. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and has no forms. This notice explains the small amount of personal data that still moves when you visit the site or write to me.

Who is responsible

Adam Reichenbach, Budapest, Hungary, is the controller for this site under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For anything about your data, write to privacy@adamreichenbach.com.

When you visit the site

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. in the United States. When your browser requests a page, Netlify's servers record standard access-log data: your IP address, the address requested, the time, your browser's user agent and the referring page. Netlify keeps these logs for a short period, under 30 days according to Netlify, to deliver the site and to protect it against faults and attacks. I do not use these logs.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Netlify's privacy statement.

The CV itself: Microsoft Power BI

The CV is embedded from Microsoft's Power BI service (app.powerbi.com). When the page loads, your browser connects to Microsoft directly, so Microsoft receives your IP address and browser details, and may store cookies or similar data in your browser for the embedded report. What Microsoft does with that data is set by Microsoft, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. I do not receive any information about who views the report.

Legal basis for embedding the report: my legitimate interest in presenting my CV (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you would rather not connect to Microsoft, you can still reach me by e-mail or on LinkedIn without loading the report.

Links

The LinkedIn and e-mail icons send nothing until you click them. LinkedIn then applies its own privacy policy.

When you write to me

If you e-mail me, I receive your address, your name, your message and anything you attach. I use them only to reply to you and, where you are writing about a role or a project, to discuss it with you. I do not share them with anyone else.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract, where you are writing about work (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); otherwise my legitimate interest in answering correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

My mailbox is provided by Namecheap, Inc. (Namecheap Private Email), on servers in the United States. See Namecheap's privacy policy.

Retention: I delete e-mails within 12 months of our last contact, unless they lead to us working together.

Transfers outside the EU

Netlify, Microsoft and Namecheap are based in the United States. Netlify relies on its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Microsoft relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Namecheap relies on standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me for access to your personal data, and for its correction or deletion. You can also ask me to restrict its use, and object to any use based on legitimate interest. Where the GDPR provides for it, you can receive your data in a portable format. Write to privacy@adamreichenbach.com, and I will reply within one month. Data that Microsoft or Netlify process for their own purposes is covered by their own statements, linked above.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, in your own EU country or in Hungary: the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

No decisions about you are made automatically, and nothing on this site profiles you.
